Old magazine front cover Analysis

This is another old black and white front cover of a magazine. As said before, we have to create a front cover of a film magazine featuring the film. Obviously, this will be the main feature of the front cover, however, we will need to take into consideration codes and conventions of old magazine front covers where we are promoting our film to give more of an impact and feel to the audience of an old film, but also have to use familiar codes and conventions of a now day front cover of a magazine.

As you can see, with this and the other old front cover of a magazine, they are very basic, with one main picture, a main heading and each have a boarder. We will convert our original images that you can view on our blog into black and white, despite the rest of the magazine having to be in colour. We must remember that we are creating an old film set many years ago, however, in modern days. We will have to take this into consideration when creating our poster, magazine cover and film, especially concerning costumes, props and special effects that they would not have had many years ago when this film was set.
