Target Audience

When looking at the ideas gathered for our trailer, that would then be made into a film, I feel that our target audience would have to be a mature audience, no younger than 15 years of age. This is because of the emotional story line that it entails and the different ideologic views from different characters and made by the audience who are viewing the film. We want to put forward the idea of child abuse to our audience, so that they can acknowledge the effects that abuse has upon young children and for them to see how many years child abuse has existed and that it is still a main issue that effects many children now days. 

Despite the fact that I feel that children under the age of 15, should not view this type of movie, it does not mean that they should not be aware of this issue.

The teaser trailer that we will make would not be as disturbing as the film, however, we would have to take the age restriction for the film itself into account and ensure that the trailer is only shown at appropriate times, e.g. after 9p.m. and advertised at cinema's only of films with age certificates of 15 or over.
